The problem
A personal injury practice carries a hundred or more open matters at once, each with its own deadline clock — records requests, demand letters, hearings, depositions. The status of every one of them lives in two places: the case management system and the inbox. Reviewing both by hand, every morning, is an hour the attorney does not have, and the cases that fall through are the ones nobody looked at.
How it works
- Trigger — daily at 7:00 AM. A schedule node starts the run before the office opens.
- Data inputs. Active case records are pulled from the firm's case management platform and Gmail is scanned for unanswered client and provider email.
- AI logic. An n8n workflow passes each item to the model, which reads the context and returns structured output rather than prose.
- Case intelligence. Every case and thread is categorised, scored, and prioritised — stale matters, unanswered mail, and deadlines inside their warning window get surfaced.
- Output. The results are rendered into a single HTML brief and delivered to the attorney's inbox, marked internal and attorney-privileged.
What the brief reports
Below the counts, upcoming deadlines are grouped by type — records requests on the 21-day clock, demands on 30 days, hearings and depositions — each flagged with how many are due soon.
